Valentines 2009

Valentine's Day is one of my very favorite holidays. I think it's because January seems so long and cold, and then suddenly, you are thrown into a fresh new month where a holiday centered all around love is just weeks away. I hang my Valentines wreath and hand towels on February 1st and then immediately begin planning what new treats and activities to try for that year. Steven begins his search in finding the perfect card for each child. We don't frequently go out on Valentines Day but with how conveniently it fell on Saturday this year we decided to be crazy and go for it. We definitely have restaurant "favorites", but Saturday we decided to try their Brazilian restaurant, "Texas de Brazil". It was very tasty and took Steven back to mission days in Rio. Oddly enough I think his favorite part of the meal was not the many meat choices, but rather, the rice, black beans, and guanana. We had a great day and returned home to spend a fun evening of treats and games with the kids.
