Christmas Prep

December started off with a bang as we began preparations for the Christmas season. Dad's hospital work party was awesome. Our church had a Christmas brunch that included an ugly sweater contest. I came in 3rd. We played many games, ate way to many treats, celebrated BYU's final football game, and trimmed the tree to perfection. It was a great start to a great season.

Tubing Trip

The 70 degree weather in December is something I will never complain about while living in NC. For enduring such scorching summers there has to be some plus side to winter, right? If you want snow however, you indeed must seek it out and head for higher ground. For this trip we headed to the outskirts of Boone, NC to enjoy a few days of "mountain" life. A cabin, snow tubing, and no cell service within 5 miles. It was pure bliss. We highly recommend it.

NC Zoo

On the way home from our cabin trip we made a surprise stop to the zoo. The kids went crazy. Since moving to NC our trips to the zoo have gone from weekly to yearly. Though two hours away, NC truly has a fantastic zoo with many new additions opening this spring. We can't wait to return and once again enjoy their current and upcoming exhibits.
