Thanksgiving Break '17

Last Thanksgiving we were sleeping on the floor of an empty house waiting for our belongings to be delivered. Stacy's family was gracious in hosting us on a few occasions over those "waiting weeks", including Thanksgiving, so we were more that excited to host their family this year and have the opportunity to cook up a storm in our with our own kitchen. It was a wonderful few days of family and fun.

Sweet Sixteen

Ryley turned 16 years old in November! We are dying. How in the world did we ever get old enough to have a child turn sixteen?! We made it a birthday celebration weekend, so on Friday we shopped, went to her favorite restaurant, then returned home for cake, ice cream, and presents. On Saturday she had friends over for a party complete with pizza, carmel cups, and games. Ryley is a fantastic daughter and sister. She is kind, helpful, and a kid at heart. We are SO grateful she is part of our family. Happy Sweet 16 Ryley bugs.

Amazing Azure

The school called. I picked up my phone thinking it would be the nurse calling with Haley's numbers for the day. Instead it was the assistant principal who asked me very calmly if I could join them at the school because Azure had hit her head really bad on a picnic bench. He didn't know the extent of the injury just yet, but 911 was on their way to assess the situation and if I could come and join them that would be great. I just happen to be two minutes down the road already in the car so I sped up a little faster and ran into the school. Azure was sitting on the teachers lap with a cloth on her head. They placed her in my arms and when emergency crews showed up a few minutes later they highly recommended I take her straight to the Emergency Room. I drove down the street and pulled into the ER where one of our closest friends just happens to work. They did a fantastic job. A boat load of numbing medicine and nine stitches later and we were heading home good to go. Azure was such a tough little trooper during a very scary and gross few hours. I commend her for being so brave a relying on Heavenly Father to calm and comfort her.

Halloween Happenings '17

Halloween was wonderful. Before the actual evening of tricks and treats we were able to attend our ward Trunk or Treat and go to Boo Zoo, both of which were fantastic. On Halloween night we hosted a computer error, little red, a skeleton, one wolf, and one unicorn. The kiddos were amazed at how many families hand out full sized candy bars in this neighborhood. Needless to say, I'll be dressing up next year and following right behind them.
