Story time at the library is always fun, but princess story time at the library is a day to remember! :)

Thanksgiving Break '13

We had a fantastic Thanksgiving holiday. We ate lots of food, roller skated, went to "Frozen", roller skated, attended the Dickens Festival with amazing Kadyn playing her violin, and....you guessed it, roller skated. The food was fantastic. We loved the movie and highly recommend it. Kadyn was amazing at the festival with her fellow violinist. Roller skating is now a family favorite amongst the Ballard children. All five of them! It was a wonderful break that left us counting down the days for the much longer Christmas vacation ahead.

Ryley Turns Twelve

Ryley turned 12 while we were on our Disney Cruise so of course birthday celebrations took place then. I didn't want to miss the opportunity though to mention this special birthday and girl. Ryley is smart, goofy, and kind. She loves to sing and is a fantastic drawer. She can make anyone in a room feel welcome and needed. She is a great big sister and has the amazing talent of letting anything negative just roll right off her shoulders. We are so grateful for her sweet personality and spirit.

The two lower photos make me laugh every time I see them. When you meet Ryley, you'll also discover that she's pretty short. The manager checked her height and found she was allowed to drive the race cars...but only at 10 mph. The girls with us were great sports and accompanied her with the slow speed limit. Before we left, the manager brought a box over and rechecked her height. Although proud and taller, the 10 mph limit stood. :)

Disney Dream '13

What a fantastic trip! The pictures tell all. Grandma, Cousins, Aunts and Uncles. Everyone healthy, everyone happy. Great weather, great activities, great food. Memories made that we'll never forget! Let's get to planning the next one. Who's with us?!! :)
