Disaster The Musical

If you noticed Kadyn missing from many of our July pictures, it's for a very good reason. This is Kadyn's second summer participating in a five week professional training program for student actors called Youth Repertory at the Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center. You audition in April, and if you make it, come July you experience five weeks of a 9 to 5 rigorous class schedule that combines master classes with structured rehearsal time and ends with a weekend of performances. Morning classes included scenic design, directing, tap, fight choreography, and musical theatre history. Afternoons were then spent rehearsing the musical.  Let's just say this program is not for the faint of heart! Haley got lucky with this particular musical since they needed a small child to fill one of the roles and she was offered the opportunity. Both girls had the time of their lives with this show. Our family, along with the filled houses each night, laughed our heads off. It was one of the funniest musicals we've seen. These youth did an AMAZING job! Along with being talented, they are kind, friendly, and welcoming. My mama heart loves them for the love they've shown our girls!

Thatchers Thirteen

Thatcher is now a teenager. He wanted nothing more then to enjoy some fun family activities around town. We started at the mall for glow golf and trampoline jumping, then stumbled upon these awesome animals that kids can drive all over the mall. On his actual birthday we enjoyed Tucanos and ended the day with key lime pie and presents. He has wanted a Nintendo Switch for a very long time and his wish finally came true. Thatcher has a kind heart and is a fantastic brother to these four girls that surround him. We are so lucky to have him in our family. Happy 13th Thatcher!
