Disney World '12

We just experienced an amazing family vacation. It began last Thursday with a few days at the Animal Kingdom Lodge, while hopping to the various parks of Hollywood Studios, Magic Kingdom, and Epcot. Favorite rides this trip included the Aerosmith roller coaster, Buzz Light Year, and the tea cups. This was also our families favorite hotel stay ever. The Animal Kingdom Lodge was simply beautiful, and to wake up and fall asleep with zebras, gazelles, and giraffes walking right outside your balcony window was incredible. On Saturday morning we headed for the Disney boat and our next adventure began.

Fantastic Four

Haley J turned the amazing FOUR on Sept. 24th. We played the day away at the inflatable play house and then enjoyed a family party with cake, ice cream, and presents galore. It was a fantastic day for a fantastic gal. Haley is full of sunshine, personality, and love! We couldn't imagine our lives without her. Happy Birthday Juliana! We love you!

Winning And Losing

We've had a great time over the past few weeks cheering on our BYU Cougars with food and fun. We must have jinxed them last Saturday however when we skipped our normally scheduled party due to church meetings we had from 3pm - 9pm. While our meetings were completely worth it, our Cougs took their first loss of the season and we felt as though it may have been due to our lack of support. The same outcome happened Thursday evening as well when it skipped our minds that their game was being played before the weekend. At that point, we immediately recognized the pattern! From here on out we'll have to party harder than ever, and with any luck, place the odds of winning back in our favor. GO COUGS!

Labor Day Weekend '12

We spent Labor Day hiking in Raven Rock National park. It was our first time attempting this type of activity with five children, and to be honest, Steven and I were a bit apprehensive. How did it go? The kiddos were awesome. Two and a half miles and nearly two hours later, they ran across the ending point with smiles on their faces and great excitement for the cold water and treats that awaited them in the car. We ended the day with Mexican food and a movie. A bit of labor mixed with a little relaxation. Doesn't get better then that.
